A Real Barnburner

I feel like running through the streets of Baku with my Calgary Flames flag. My team just came back from being down 3-0 early in the first period to win 4-3.

There's something about listening to the game on the radio at 7 AM that makes everything that much more intense. Everyone in this office thinks I'm insane because I scream and yell when Calgary scores (not to mention cursing loudly when San Jose scores). My poor neighbours probably feel the same way.

More importantly, it's the only time of the year when I feel truly 100% Canadian.

And your Dad is pumped up regarding the fact that his beloved Canadians are not only in the playoffs, but won the Eastern Division.

I know that it won't happen as I am sure things are fixed, but it would be cool if Calgary and Montreal met in the final.

Would I pick sides? Of course not!

Well Calgary met the Canadiens twice in the 80's and came away with a win in '89. Pretty good when you can beat Montreal for the cup.

I used to listen to the Montreal games in Winnipeg on french radio. Quite exciting to hear a game alright.
